What we collect when you contact us about water treatment, and what happens to it.
Last updated: October 2026
Information We Collect
Carlsbad Water Filtration serves homes and businesses in Carlsbad and the wider North San Diego County area, and what we collect reflects that work. A phone enquiry normally gives us your name, the number you are calling from, the service address, and a description of the problem, such as scale on fixtures, a taste complaint or a system that has stopped working.
If we carry out a water test at a property, we record the readings taken at your taps, including hardness, chlorine, total dissolved solids and pH, together with notes on the plumbing, the water source and any treatment equipment already fitted. Where we prepare a written price or complete an installation, we keep the records needed to support that work.
This website may also collect limited technical information automatically, such as pages visited, the approximate region a visit came from, the browser used and the referring site. That is ordinary server and analytics information and is not used to identify you.
How We Use Your Information
We use it to answer enquiries, schedule testing and installation visits, prepare and honour written prices, carry out work, supply the correct replacement cartridges or media, and keep a service history for equipment we have fitted or maintained.
Contact details may also be used to follow up a quotation you asked for, to tell you when a cartridge or media change is due, or to answer a question about a system we worked on. We do not sell your information and we do not use it to market other companies' products.
Cookies and Tracking
This site may use cookies and similar technologies to keep it working properly and to understand in general terms how visitors move through it. Cookies of that kind do not tell us who you are.
Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete those already stored, through the browser's own settings. Doing so should not stop you reading any page here or finding our telephone number.
How We Share Information
Information is shared only where the work requires it or the law does. That can include a manufacturer or supplier handling a warranty claim or parts order, a laboratory where a sample needs testing beyond what a field kit can measure, and service providers who help us run our telephone system, scheduling or website.
Anyone we share information with is expected to use it only for the purpose it was shared for. We do not sell, rent or trade customer information.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect what we hold, including limiting access to the people who need it for their work and keeping records on systems protected by access controls.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you would rather not give us a particular detail, say so and we will tell you whether we can proceed without it.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct something that is wrong, or ask us to stop contacting you about quotations and service reminders. A phone call is usually the quickest way to arrange any of that.
If you ask us to delete information we will do so, except where records must be kept to support completed work, a warranty, or an obligation under applicable law.
Third-Party Links
Some pages link to other websites, such as an equipment manufacturer or a public information source. Those sites are run by other organisations and have their own privacy practices.
We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or how they handle information. Read the privacy policy of any site you visit from a link here.
Children's Privacy
Our services are offered to property owners and managers, and this website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in how we work or in the services we provide. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
Continuing to use the website after a revision means you accept the policy as it then stands.
